Project Happy Holidays with Project Run and Play
It's time for a new collection from Project Run and Play. I absolutely love being part of these collaborations, working with other designers on a capsule collection, and this time I designed two patterns for the Project Happy Holidays collection.
When we think of holidays here in Portugal, the bigger are all during winter and early spring (so always in cold weather). There's our freedom day, Carnaval, Easter and Christmas. And right now it's all about Christmas everywhere around us. With this in mind I designed the Cinnamon cardigan and the Jingle joggers.
The Cinnamon cardigan is a layering piece, a staple to wear over long sleeve tees, dresses and shirts. It's an oversized design, with slightly droped shoulder seams and plenty of room around the body. It features a front and neck placket with buttons, and can have sleeve cuffs and a waistband to pull it closer to the body when closed. It's a unisex pattern, comes in sizes 12 months to 14 years old, and it's seriously a super fast sew. Oh, and it will have a video sew-along in my YouTube channel.
The other pattern that I designed is the Jingle joggers, a unisex knit pants and shorts pattern with lots of options to choose from. It comes in sizes 12 months to 12 years old and includes different pockets, a side stripe, cuffed or hemmed legs and two shorts lengths. You can sew it in french terry or sweatshirt fabric for a sporty look or in ponte or stretch faux suede for a more dressed up look. Both these patterns work beautifully paired with the other patterns in the collection, and I hope you like them as much as I do.
